I've been skeeting by with an un-padded factory setting type bag and it has been the cause of A LOT of traveling anxiety for me. With your donations I was able to order a baritone ukulele gig big from OnStage.com that'll be able to take a bit more abuse. I tried to order it from Sweetwater (I love the bags of candy they add in each order) but their website was down so I got it straight from the source. I'll do an unboxing video when it comes in for anyone who's into that kind of stuff.

THE HOTEL IS BOOKED! By the time I started my fundraiser the hotel that the conference is being held was sold out of rooms but I was able to secure a room at the Hilton hotel across the street which is the next best thing. Fellow Philadelphia based music maker and songwriter Lia Menaker saw online that I was going to NERFA and reached out to see if we could be roomies and split the cost. That leaves more funds for food, travel, and gear:)

I'm back in the saddle after a weekend run in NY and thrilled to report you all have raised collectively $1,585! I'm feeling overwhelmingly grateful and loved. I've been reading the little love notes you all have attached to your donations and they really warm my heart. Also shout out to everyone who has been purchasing the Haiku's. They've been so beautiful and fun to create for you all.

I'm coming back from a beautiful camping trip in New Tripoli and feeling so energized and ready for whatever life has in store. I usually turn my phone off for camping trips to really disconnect and tune into the present moment so you could imagine my surprise when I logged back on and seen I had over $700 worth of donations sitting in my inbox from the first post alone. THANK YOU to everyone so much for answering my call for help. I won't let you down:) 

This crowdfunding support is truly crucial for me! It will go a long way in ensuring I can arrive safely to my destination and really make Philadelphia and Delaware proud. These conferences are extremely helpful to artists, especially independent artists but to get to the conference and register is expensive and lack of funding is a huge barrier to black and brown musicians. 

 This is more than just a personal endeavor—it’s about building a supportive community in music that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
